To function Depends on how you want to do that.
All remote computers are avilable ACQUISITION:

As a replacement for the LED itself:
Those Pixmania are very similar.
Select GaAs infrared emitting diode, has the same package size (dimensions) of the lens. Therefore, one has to measure the diode, which is on the remote. The diameter of the lens focus is important because the light must be on a beam to the work in the space for the recipient.

LEDs (and LED) are semiconductor-polarized.
(Not like the bulbs in the job, regardless of whether the terminal is connected to the positive and negative).

LED only works when the polarity of the voltage is correct (positive goes to the anode, a cathode is negative). The IR LED has two electrodes are visible in the plastic. They have a different way, because it is), the anode (positive infant son of gold, and the cathode (negative: the larger the cup-shaped LED chip holds).

You have to de-solder the old sunin the new Mini with a 25 watt soldering iron and thin solder wire diameter.
LEDs are sensitive to minimize heat, the welding (eg less than 10 seconds, if possible, per connection) for the new component.
Approximate time of replacement is 30-60 minutes.
